Mr Andrew Jicking

Title(s): Professeur de science

Andrew Jickling joined the French International School in 2020, serving as Middle School science teacher. He also teaches science to the fourth and fifth graders.

Born and raised in Latin America—specifically, Guatemala, Bolivia and Nicaragua — Mr. Jickling grew up attending international schools. He thrived in the diversity the schools offered and always enjoyed learning from his classmates. He continues to believe that the world view afforded by international schools is a valuable asset.

After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Jickling earned teacher’s certification and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Education from Arcadia University. He taught science in public school before accepting a position at the American International School of Lisbon. 

Mr. Jickling thoroughly enjoys the French International School community.  He is delighted by the enthusiasm and good cheer of the students and he enjoys bringing science alive through experiential activities and classroom demonstrations.
