Step 3:  Application Form

Please complete our online application, with an application fee of $60. If you experience any difficulties completing our online application form, please contact us at 610-667-1284 or at admissions@frenchschoolphila.org. If you would prefer, you can print the application and mail it along with your application fee. As soon as we receive your application, we will contact you to schedule a family visit.

Step 4: Family Visit

After we have received your application and $60 application fee, we will call you to set up a date for your family visit, COVID permitting.

On the day of the visit, we ask both parents to come together with your child, when possible. You can expect to arrive at the school for an 8:45 a.m. appointment. At this time, your child will meet a member of our admissions team for a school readiness assessment. Parents will meet with our Head of School. You should expect this to last for 20 to 45 minutes, depending on the age of your child.

Please visit our FAQs for more detailed information.

Step 5: Teacher Recommendation and School Records

All children who are currently in any school setting (daycare, preschool, elementary school) are required to submit one teacher recommendation form. If your child receives report cards, please forward a copy.

Submit the Confidential Teacher Recommendation form to your child’s current teacher. Request that the form be completed by January 10 and please provide the teacher with a stamped envelope, addressed to:

French International School of Philadelphia
150 N Highland Avenue
Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004

This form may also be faxed directly to our school.

For children entering grades one through eight, please forward the last two years worth of transcripts.

Addtionally, you should fill out a School Records Release Form and give it to your child’s current school.

Step 6: Decision and Enrollment Timeline

Families who have completed the application process by January 15 will be notified of the admission decision by mid-February.

By common agreement among area independent schools, if your child is accepted you will have until March 1 to accept this offer of admission and submit your enrollment agreement and fee.

After January 15, we accept applications on a rolling basis and will make decisions in a timely manner, as space is available.

Step 7: Financial Aid

We encourage parents to consider The French International School of Philadelphia regardless of economic circumstance. Financial aid allows our school to represent a student body that adds to our overall diversity.
