Ms. In Young Yu

In Young is excited to be joining the French International School of Philadelphia as the school music teacher. Raised in Seoul, South Korea, In Young moved to the States and earned her bachelor’s degree in music education with a concentration in piano at New York University, and her master’s degree in music education at Columbia University in NY. Since then she has taught music at independent schools in NJ and PA. In her spare time, as an obvious hobby, she loves listening to various styles of music and enjoys spending time with her daughter Evangeline. 
Her goal as a music educator is to nurture and increase the enjoyment and the appreciation of music by making music lessons fun and engaging, and as a result of the process, to see music enriching and empowering children’s lives.
