Ms. Karen Marles

Karen Marles is a prekindergarten 3 and 4 teacher with the French International School of Philadelphia. She received her bachelor’s degree in early education from Millersville University in Pennsylvania where she also studied German.

A native of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Ms. Marles loves teaching, a vocation that she has cherished for more than 20 years. In addition to working at the French International School, she has served as a camp counselor, arts and crafts director, and day camp director for Bear Creek Camp.

During high school, Ms. Marles participated in an exchange program where she spent three weeks in Saarbrücken, Germany. She also traveled to France, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland with a touring choir. Those experiences sparked her love for travel and diversity.

In her spare time, Ms. Marles enjoys crafts, camping, travel and spending time with family.

When asked what she finds most exciting about her current role at the French International School, she said, “I love working with the young minds and developing a love of learning.”
