Make a Difference in our Next Chapter!

Our school-wide theme for 2023-2024 is “Tell Your Story”. Our story began in 1991 with just eight students. Today we serve over 350 children, with many new families joining our community each year.

Every day, we tell a story that, in turn, tells others who we are. Storytelling opens opportunities for individuals to learn about the uniqueness of one another's family, friends, culture and experiences. When we share our stories, we create a community of belonging.

As a community, we strive for 100% philanthropic support among stakeholders-Board members, parents, faculty and staff. Our collective efforts enable us to improve both campuses, optimize safety, update technology, shelve our Resource Center with new and exciting multilingual titles and show major investors that those most connected to FISOP are involved in its future well-being. Your participation provides the pen and the page for our next chapter!

Below, you will learn more about the different ways in which you can contribute to the school. Our Development Office is ready to assist you should you have any questions.

French International School Fund

The purpose of our French International School of Philadelphia Fund is to provide unrestricted operating support for our school. Contributors include parents, grandparents, alumni families and friends, as well as charitable foundations and corporations. We appreciate gifts of all sizes, and strive for 100 percent participation among our different constituencies.

The Beyond Borders Fund

The purpose of this fund is to further our mission of nurturing global citizens with a deeper understanding of and true appreciation for other cultures. With families representing 50 different nationalities, the French International School’s diversity sets it apart from other institutions. Its emphasis on multiculturalism cultivates open-minded individuals with empathy for others, regardless of background. The fund will be used for scholarships and events that help ensure that the French International School of Philadelphia remains a welcoming environment to families of any race, religion, culture, or lifestyle. Recurring Gifts

Monthly recurring gifts are a wonderful way to offer continuous support to our school! By making a monthly recurring gift, you can spread the payment of your gift over the entire year. You determine the amount and number of months of payment when you make your gift here.

Corporate Matching Gifts

If your company has a Matching Gifts program, you can double or triple the value of your gift. Simply obtain a Matching Gift form from your company's personnel or human resources office, fill out the portion to be completed by the donor for your employer, and submit a copy of the form to the School along with your gift. To learn more, please visit our Matching Gifts page.

Tax Credit Programs

Through participation in the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs, businesses—and now, individuals—with significant tax liability, can earn PA tax credits when they make a contribution to a scholarship organization like the French International School. Visit the “Tax Credit Programs” page under the “Support Us” tab or call our Development Office for more information.

Planned Giving

Planned gifts allow you to make an impact on the future of the French International School of Philadelphia and often provide estate and tax benefits. FISOP welcomes planned gifts such as bequests, gifts of retirement accounts, gifts of life insurance, and gifts of appreciated stock, among others.

Time & Expertise

Your time is a valuable commodity! You can help our school by sharing your expertise with us for special projects, introducing us to contacts who may be interested in supporting the school, volunteering with the Parents’ Association, and talking about our school with prospective families. If you have a special talent you would like to share with us or an idea for a project, don’t hesitate to contact our Development Office.

Gifts-in-Kind

Certain gifts-in-kind are accepted throughout the year, depending upon the school’s needs. Please contact our Development Office before making your gift to ensure that we are able to accept it.
