Ms. Mélanie Ghez

Title(s): Speech Therapist

Melanie Ghez was born and raised in Paris, France. She graduated from the University Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris in 2002. She then worked as an orthophoniste (speech and language therapist and reading specialist) in several hospitals and schools, as well as in her own practice. She has experience with kids who have all kinds of speech, language, and communication issues; such as cognitive and developmental delays, language and literacy impairments (e.g. dysphasia, dyslexia), hearing loss, genetic syndromes, autism, and neurological disorders; and is currently conducting research on bilingualism with the University Paris X. 
Ms. Ghez joined the French International School of Philadelphia in 2015 and since then has worked as an orthophoniste and as a teacher in the 1st and 2nd grades.
Mother of four children, Ms. Ghez loves spending time with her family in her free time. She also loves reading, writing, playing piano, visiting museums and traveling.
