Ms. Nancy Pontius

Beginning in 2017, Ms. Pontius is teaching vocal and general music for first through eighth grade at the French International School of Philadelphia. She holds a bachelor of arts in music from Wellesley College, and a master of education in multicultural education from Eastern University. She completed her American Orff-Schulwerk Association Certification through the University of the Arts. After seven years of teaching music at all levels, Ms. Pontius is excited to work in a school that celebrates the diversity of its students and staff. 

Music inspires Ms. Pontius every day. As a music educator, she creates an environment where students can confidently express themselves so they too can learn how music can positively impact their lives. When she is not teaching or playing, Ms. Pontius enjoys reading and visiting family around the country and abroad.
