Ms. Stephanie Woussen

Title(s): Upper School Teacher

Stephanie Woussen is from Amiens, France. Ms. Woussen has been a certified teacher since 2003. Previously, she taught French and History-Geography at the middle school and high school levels, as well as general education courses for post-secondary students, first in Amiens and subsequently for 15 years in the Lyon region. 

Ms. Woussen taught in 2004 at the Lycée Franco-boliviano de la Paz in Bolivia. Upon her return, she received a degree in French as a Foreign Language instruction (FLE). In 2022, looking to remain current in her competency, she received her certification in French as a Second Language (FLS) by the ministry of education. She is an authorized administrator of the Diplôme d’Étude en Langue Française (DELF) exam.

From 2009-2011, Ms. Woussen participated in a cultural exchange in Norway and Denmark in order to study, among other educators, how to stop dropout rates across different countries. She then became a professor of teaching from 2015-2020 for the Académie de Lyon in their department of History and Literature, in which she found great joy in collaborating with her colleagues. 

In her previous school, Ms. Woussen worked on training the newspaper and theatre clubs. 

Since she was little, Ms. Woussen has had a passion for reading and cooking. She loves to spend time with her two children, and makes an effort each day too wear an article of clothing or jewelry that she made by hand!
